Nordic Pack is a member of NPA, Norwegian Industry's Producer Responsibilityr (former FTI).

Nordic Pack is connected to the NPA (former FTI) and pays a packaging fee for the packaging (well/plastic) around our goods, as well as our glass packaging. The collection takes place via approx. 5000 recycling stations around the country and also gives 1,8 million households the opportunity to recycle in their own property.
The responsibility regarding recycling is now controlled by Sweden's municipalities, NPA is only the reporting body to the Environmental Protection Agency and has taken over the part relating to producer responsibility for packaging from FTI and Swedish Glass Recycling.

Swedish Glass Recycling is the best in the world for recycling glass. Today, more than 90 percent of all glass packaging is recycled in Sweden. Glass recycling is a way to take care of our environment and create a sustainable society.
Every week, Swedish Glass Recycling receives about 25 trucks with a total of 700 tonnes of glass packaging for the plant in Hammar. There, the old glass is refined into new raw material. It is then used for new products that you have the benefit and pleasure of before they are recycled again.
Recycling should be simple and provide great environmental benefits. The stations are cleaned almost half a million times a year and the containers are emptied about 2 times.

The collection system is mainly financed by means of packaging fees paid by the producers, ie companies that import goods, fill a package and sell a product.
The business is run entirely with no profit interest and no financial dividend to the owners exists. This is so that the cost of collection and recycling will as little as possible affect the price of the goods.
Nordic Pack charges and declares the glass recycling fee in connection with the sales invoice being sent to the customer. Nordic Pack, in turn, declares and pays all fees to NPA, which in turn reports to the Swedish Environmental Protection Agency. This is a service we provide to our Swedish customers as long as the current arrangement prevails NPA.
In 2022, we switched from a volume-based charge to a charge based on the product's weight. All fees are regulated by the NPA and can be found on their website. You as a customer will be able to see the fee on the order confirmation/invoice.
