Material descriptions

HDPE & PE

Plastic / Polyethylene

Soft thermoplastic transparent to opaque with very good impact strength and bending resistance. Has good resistance to most chemicals also highly corrosive, with the exception of high concentrations of hydrochloric acid and sulfuric acid and strong solvents such as trichlorethylene (with more chlorohydrocarbons) and turpentine. It is excellent for staining. The material can withstand approx. + 80ºC and -40ºC.

OPAK - transparent but not glass clear.

PET

Polyester / Polyethylene terephthalate

Glass clear and unbreakable. Good barrier properties and excellent resistance to aromatic and aliphatic hydrocarbons. Not toxicological. It is excellent for staining. The material can withstand approx. + 60ºC and -40ºC.

PP

Propylene Plastic / Polypropylene

Rigid thermoplastic transparent to opaque with good compressive, bending and tensile strength at normal temperature, but becomes brittle in cold. Has good resistance to weak acids, alkalis, alcohol, aromatic oils, ammonia etc. Do not tolerate tri, nitric acid 90%, turpentine, carbon tetrachloride and other chlorine hydrocarbons. It is excellent for staining. The material can withstand between + 120ºC and -40ºC and can therefore be sterilized at temperatures above 100ºC.

OPAK - transparent but not glass clear. All grades are food approved.
